Gascoyne

Every Saturday morning from May to October the Carnarvon town centre comes alive with the Gascoyne Growers’ Markets. The market is run by the growers themselves, who often pick their produce just the night before the market to ensure you take home the freshest, tastiest produce in WA. A visit to the markets makes it very clear why the Gascoyne has the well-earned reputation of being the “food bowl of WA”, with a surprisingly diverse range of fruit and vegetables, lush tropical fruits, and meats on offer. Fill your basket then grab a coffee and some breakfast, listen to the buskers, or browse through the adjacent Arts and Craft market.

The Gascoyne Growers Market is run by a committee of management that employs a part-time coordinator. Market Guidelines have been developed from the Australian Farmers’ Markets Association (AFMA) guidelines, in an effort to maintain the integrity of the operation as a tool for promoting regional producers.  A copy of our constitution is available to read here.

If you are interested in becoming a stallholder please follow the steps below and return all completed documentation to the Market Coordinator at PO Box 1419, Carnarvon WA 6701, or email markets(at)gascoynefood.com.au.

A general meeting is called each year prior to the commencement of the market season at which all prospective stallholders are asked to attend to register their interest. We also welcome new stallholders throughout the market season, and are always on the lookout for new members who will diversify the customer experience.

If you have any further questions about becoming a stallholder, please feel free to contact the market coordinator by email or on 0481 724 639.
